This program received full support from the Bandung City Government and was officially opened by the Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Kiara Artha Park, Bandung. The event was also attended by the Head of the Bandung City Health Office, Anhar Hadian, heads of community health centers, the Head of the Family Welfare Movement (TP-PKK), health cadres, and 140 Jumantik (Flying Mosquito Eradication Team) cadres.
Meanwhile, from Enesis Group, also attending were Enesis Group CEO Aryo Widiwardhono, along with executives, namely Enesis Group CMO Jo Selahap Semidang, Enesis Group CHRLO Bambang Cahyono, Enesis Group CFO Ronny Widjaja, Enesis Group Head of Human Resources & Public Relations, RM. Ardiantara, and Soffell Senior Brand Manager, Louis Sumantadiredja.
Bandung City: A Pivotal Point in the National Movement
This program is an expansion of the national Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) prevention education program, which was previously successfully implemented in Jember, Banyuwangi, Bali, and Yogyakarta. Bandung City is a priority city for this program due to its high number of recorded DHF cases. This activity aims to educate the Bandung community about the importance of DHF prevention. According to data from the West Java Provincial Health Office, Bandung City ranks first in the number of DHF cases in West Java, with 7,447 cases throughout 2024.
Furthermore, the five districts with the highest numbers—Bawa Batu, Rancasari, Coblong, Kiaracondong, and Arcamanik—have recorded hundreds of cases, some of which have resulted in death. As of May 2025, Buah Batu District had 88 cases, Rancasari 74 cases, and Coblong 65 cases. These are numbers we must address together.
Door-to-Door Educational Intervention
This program reaches more than 30,000 residents across Bandung City, targeting three densely populated districts: Buah Batu, Rancasari, and Cibiru, and 14 urban villages. Education is delivered directly through a door-to-door approach, involving 140 Jumantik (Mosquito Repellent) volunteers. This door-to-door activity aims to educate the public, distribute Soffell products, check for mosquito larvae, and provide direct understanding of the implementation of the 3M Plus National Population and Immunization (PSN) program.
Using Soffell is a simple yet effective way to prevent mosquito bites that cause dengue fever, chikungunya, filariasis, and malaria. We want the community to make applying mosquito repellent a part of their daily lifestyle.
Deep-Rooted Cross-Sector Collaboration
Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan expressed his appreciation for the Enesis Group’s initiative, which aligns with Bandung City’s mission to systematically and sustainably reduce dengue fever rates.
In a statement, Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan stated, “The Joint Mosquito Eradication Movement “3M + Mengobati” (Healthy and Dengue-Free Family) is a joint effort to prevent dengue fever through strengthening health education, the 1 House 1 Mosquito Swatter Movement (G1R1J), the disciplined implementation of the 3M Plus National Mosquito Control Program (PSN 3M Plus), the use of mosquito repellent lotion as additional protection, and the training and empowerment of Mosquito Swatter cadres at the community level. This program aims to create a healthy environment free from mosquitoes that carry dengue, chikungunya, filariasis, and malaria.”
The Head of the Bandung City Health Office, Anhar Hadian, emphasized the importance of this type of collaboration in accelerating community behavior change.
The Head of the Bandung City Health Office said, “Bandung City is an endemic area for dengue fever (DHF), with a fairly high number of cases. In 2024, there were 7,680 cases of DHF recorded, while in the period January – June 2025, the number of cases reached 1,653. As a form of DHF prevention and control efforts, the Bandung City Government collaborated with the Enesis Group through the Soffell product which was realized in educational activities to the public about the importance of DHF prevention and control, especially through routine monitoring of larvae and the implementation of the 3M Plus movement as well as the use of mosquito repellent lotion (applying) as additional protection.”
From a Small Idea to a National Movement
In his reflective and inspiring remarks, Enesis Group CEO Aryo Widiwardhono recounted the company’s founding story, which began with the anxiety of a young man from West Java who was plagued by mosquito bites in his boarding house. “Dengue fever is not just a disease; it’s about the survival and resilience of families. From that personal experience, Soffell was born. And today, we don’t just educate. This is our commitment: building awareness from house to house, because we believe the family is the first line of defense for health,” Aryo said.
He also emphasized that this approach is not just rhetoric. Previous programs have seen an increase in the Larvae Free Rate (ABJ) from 95% to 99% and a decrease in the number of houses with positive larvae by 80%—effective indicators that speak for themselves.
Education as a Social Investment
On the same occasion, RM Ardiantara, Head of Human Resources & Public Relations for Enesis Group, emphasized that this program is designed to be a long-term social investment.
“This program is designed to be more than just a ceremonial health campaign. We believe that dengue fever prevention is not only about medication, but must begin with raising awareness and education about the implementation of the 3M Plus National Health and Safety (PSN 3M Plus). Using Soffell as a mosquito repellent lotion is a practical way to help prevent diseases such as dengue fever, chikungunya, filariasis, and malaria. Furthermore, we want to raise awareness and establish clean living habits starting within the family. Through this activity, it is hoped that every household will understand its important role in preventing dengue fever and take active and sustainable preventive measures,” Ardiantara concluded. According to Ardiantara, this door-to-door education also provides a space for the public to ask questions and build closer relationships with health workers.
Enesis Group is present not only as a health product manufacturer, but also as a strategic partner for the government and community in promoting sustainable, healthy lifestyles. Its flagship products, such as Soffell, Antis, and Adem Sari, are born from a strong and meaningful philosophy: “Healthy Products for Healthy Family”
Support from the Bandung City Government and the local Health Office is the foundation of this program’s success. The active involvement of Jumantik (Non-Vaccine Monitoring) cadres in each sub-district serves as the vanguard in directly reaching out to the community, providing education, building trust, and encouraging citizen participation in dengue prevention.
With the spirit of cross-sector partnership between the private sector and the government, this initiative is clear evidence that targeted, community-based collaboration can bring about change. As a personal protection product, Soffell not only offers a solution but also contributes as part of a national movement that prioritizes family health.
