Enesis Group Launches “Project Pangrango” as Initial Step in Lean Manufacturing Transformation

Enesis Group officially launched “Project Pangrango”, which is a strategic initiative to make Lean Manufacturing the main foundation in increasing productivity in the company’s production line. The name Pangrango itself is inspired by Mount Pangrango which symbolizes resilience, stability, and strong determination in facing change. The soft kick off event was held on Monday, April 14, 2025 at PT Sari Enesis Indah Ciawi, which was attended directly by top management, including the CEO of Enesis Group, Mr. Aryo Widiwardhono.

PT Sari Enesis Indah Ciawi, precisely at Production Line #2, is positioned as a pilot plant location due to the complexity of the process and its significant contribution to the company’s supply chain. The success of the implementation in Ciawi is expected to be a reference for the development of Lean in all Enesis Group production facilities in the future. Through Project Pangrango, Enesis Group also sets a grand vision to make PT Sari Enesis Indah Ciawi a national benchmark in Lean Manufacturing practices—a production facility that is not only efficient, but also inspiring.

In his remarks, Mr. Aryo Widiwardhono emphasized that Project Pangrango was born from a real need for change. He said that the world, technology, information, and customer expectations continue to change rapidly. With the increase in operational costs and competition, companies are required to no longer rely on old ways. So that Lean is not only about efficiency, but also about restructuring the way of thinking and working to be more resilient, responsive, and provide greater added value for customers.

Furthermore, Mr. Aryo emphasized that Project Pangrango is an important part of Enesis’ 2025 business strategy, namely Grow Profitably, Competitively, and Sustainably. He shared a simple numerical philosophy that illustrates the power of continuous improvement:

“Do Nothing = (1.00) ^ 365 = 1.00, while Small Improvement Everyday = (1.01) ^ 365 = 37.7.”

This means that every small improvement every day will bring extraordinary results if done consistently throughout the year. And this is the essence of the Lean spirit through Project Pangrango.
