Continuous Improvement Excellence 2025: Enesis Group Wins Awards at OPEXCON & TKMPN

OPEXCON and TKMPN are two of the largest Operational Excellence competitions in Indonesia. TKMPN is known as a pioneering and prestigious event, entering its 29th year since its inception in 1997. The 2025 event is expected to attract approximately 2,500 participants, involving 600 teams from 200 companies. The competition encompasses various industry sectors and encourages the adoption of best practices for improving operational performance throughout Indonesia.

The event will be held on October 15, 2025, at the Manhattan Hotel Jakarta and November 13, 2025, at Pullman Park Central Jakarta. TKMPN will be held at the One Harmoni Hotel Batam from November 24-28, 2025. Enesis Group’s participation demonstrates the company’s commitment to building a culture of Continuous Improvement, broadening its perspective on improvement strategies, and providing opportunities for benchmarking and exchanging experiences with various industries.

Enesis’ participation provides strategic benefits, from strengthening a culture of improvement, understanding best practices, expanding professional networks, and inspiring future CI project development. Internal selection is conducted through project submissions by plant heads to the CSCO, with the best project selected from each plant based on criteria and budget availability.

At this year’s OPEXCON and TKMPN, Enesis participated in the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) category. The team’s biggest challenge was the two-month preparation period, requiring swift and creative project selection and execution.

Enesis submitted three improvement projects to Opexcon and one to TKMPN.

Opexcon:

  1. PT Herlina Indah – Reduced Downtime and Motion Errors on Autopacker Machines.
  2. PT Sari Enesis Indah Plant Ciawi – Reduced the volume of Adem Sari Ching Ku syrup wasted from pasteurizer machines.
  3. PT Sari Enesis Indah Plant Cikarang – Increased packaging efficiency for Sensa Cools Hong Kong (export).

These three projects won awards:

  • PT Herlina Indah – Silver
  • Plant Ciawi – Bronze & Best Performance
  • Plant Cikarang – Bronze

TKMPN

PT Sari Enesis Indah Plant Ciawi – Increased the Availability Rate of the Adem Sari Herbal Lemon Can Process by Optimizing the Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) Cycle.

Awarded: Platinum

Each project has a significant impact on operations. The PT Herlina Indah project achieved Zero Accidents, prevented 40,500 pieces of foil waste in five years, and eliminated 100% of repair and reject costs.

The Opexcon Plant Ciawi project generated savings of IDR 137 million per year, while the TKMPN project generated potential savings of IDR 440 million, improved safety, and strengthened a positive work culture. The Plant Cikarang project saved energy, reduced cardboard waste, and reduced the use of spare parts from handlift operations.

Project implementation involved a cross-departmental team with support from Department Heads, Section Heads, the Executive Committee, and the CEO. This collaboration was key to success in producing effective and impactful solutions.

From this event, the team learned important lessons: ideas are only valuable if they are executed, no idea is bad if it goes through the right process, Continuous Improvement is the responsibility of all employees, and external competitions prove Enesis’s ability to compete across industries.

As a follow-up, Enesis Group is committed to strengthening its culture of continuous improvement by holding another internal convention in preparation for OPEXCON 2026. This convention serves as a platform for the growth of new ideas, the enhancement of analytical capabilities, and the development of more innovative Continuous Improvement projects in the future.

Ultimately, Continuous Improvement is not just a slogan, but a real commitment to continuous improvement. With a spirit of innovation, collaboration, and the courage to try new things, Enesis Group continues to move towards superior and sustainable operating standards.
