The Ministry of Health reports that 73 percent of the 1,183 deaths due to dengue hemorrhagic fever in 2022 will be children aged 0-14 years. Therefore, education on dengue prevention is very important to provide to parents. This is not the first time ENESIS GROUP has taken part in dengue fever education, every year ENESIS GROUP through its brand Soffell always provides 3M Plus education from an early age to elementary school children and mothers through the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and local Health Department.
RM Ardiantara as PR Head of ENESIS GROUP said that ENESIS GROUP, through its health product, Soffell, is committed to continuing to provide education to all people in Indonesia to prevent the spread of dengue fever. “Because this is not only the government’s task, but the task of all of us. “In accordance with our value “Healthy Product for Healthy Family”, we continue to ensure the health of Indonesian families, especially to avoid dengue fever,” said Ardiantara.
On the same occasion, visitors to the National Children’s Day Festival were invited to see the educational Mosquito Box Experiment, which was demonstrated directly by Aurelie Hermansyah Atta accompanied by ENESIS Group Senior Public Relations, Grisella Da Lopez. The Mosquito Box Experiment shows that if we use Soffell as protection, mosquitoes will not come close and bite us.
“Before I came here at home, I used Sofell and it’s what I like the most because it’s not sticky. Because usually we just use body lotion and it can be sticky, stick when we hold the cellphone, but when I hold my hand it doesn’t feel sticky at all. Sometimes without realizing it, there are lots of mosquitoes around us. “Moreover, we are in an area with lots of trees, so maybe those who attend should use Soffel to avoid it, we won’t know if, for example, mosquitoes are afraid there will be dengue fever, it’s dangerous.” Said Aurelie Hermansyah.
Before COVID-19, Indonesia already had an annual outbreak that continues to this day, namely DHF. As is known according to data from the Ministry of Health, as of July 2 2023 there were 42,690 cases of dengue fever with 317 deaths, the cases were spread across 454 regencies/cities in 33 provinces.
Education on dengue prevention can be done through PSN 3M Plus, apart from covering, draining and using used goods, the importance of other prevention is “Apart from 3M, the plus is using anti-mosquito medication. “Such as smearing/spraying Soffell to avoid mosquito bites as personal protection, Soffell lotion and anti-mosquito spray,” added Ardiantara.
